Weinbauverein Gols

The market town of Gols lies at the east shore of Lake Neusiedl in the middle of a big wine growing area. For centuries Gols is center of the regional wine culture and it has still today the typical charm of a wine town of the northern Burgenland.

The most important wine town of Austria values wine not only economically, but also socially. Almost half of the 4,223 hectare of the town area is planted with vines, and 400 wine growing companies with full-time and part-time wine makers press excellent wines.’

The special atmosphere of the impressively restored oldest building in Gols provides you with a first and, at the same time, lasting impression of the culture in Gols. Zest for life, enjoyment and Pannonian cosiness meet here with modern aesthetics and the highest quality requirements. The cultural values of Gols account for the flair of our wine collection, which we will gladly pass on to you. It is therefore obvious that you may also find a local tourist information outpost in WeinKulturHaus. More than 400 different wines from almost 100 Gols winemakers are waiting for you in our wine store.
